Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

Explanation

To "Lean" on someone is not a bad thing. The Hebrew "Sha'an" (שָׁעַן) means to support oneself, to physically lean on a prop. This not about weakness, but reliability.

Inspiration

Are you doing everything in your own strength? How reliant are you on God? It's not about using your faith as a crutch, but an exercise in trust.

Application for Today

How might you lean into God's understanding. What are you trying to work out in your own strength? Is it time to sit in a moment of prayer and invite the Holy Spirit to bring wisdom and guidance.

Prayer

Father God, Too often I rely on my own understanding. Help me to trust you and give me a Heavenly perspective. Grant me wisdom, bring me guidance. In Jesus' name, Amen.
