VERSE OF THE DAY

What Is The Daily Bible Verse?

Every day, there is a new verse with a deeper study of a word, usually in the original language. A short interpretation and meaning of the verse, and a challenging question for the day. All tied off with a prayer to help carry you through the day.  Save this page, sign up to receive it daily, or follow us on Facebook or Instagram to get the daily Bible verse with interpretation, meaning, reflection, and prayer.

Bible Verse Of The Day:

Stationed in Rest

Exodus 33:14 (NIV)

The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

Meaning

The Hebrew word for "Rest" is "Nuach" (נוּחַ). It means to settle down, to remain stationed, to rest quietly.

Reflection

Are you getting enough rest? It is the one thing we sacrifice, yet it renews us the most! Where is your rest in the presence of God?

Application

  • Have you ever thought of sleep as being spiritual. If you are tired, it's probably time to book in an extra long rest and lay in. God has made you to recharge. Do so as soon as possible!

Prayer

Father God, help me to rest in you today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Why Read A Bible Verse Every Day?

How To Use Today’s Verse

Pause in your day and sit with the text. Read it slowly and allow yourself to pore over each word. Take a moment to reflect briefly on the daily Bible verse. What do you think it means, and what meaning might it have for you? Finally, breathe in, focus and respond in prayer. Give a final moment to turn your thoughts and reflection on the verse into a prayer.
