Deuteronomy 31:8
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
Explanation
In Hebrew, "Goes before" is "Halakh liphne" (讛指诇址讱职 诇执驻职谞值讬). It means to walk ahead as a leader, vanguard, or scout. It's not God commanding from a distance, but walking the path alongside you.
Inspiration
Are you walking alone? Do you feel exposed? God is with you in the most close and personal way. He walks with us and goes before us.
Application for Today
- When we move through life, sometimes we can feel overly vulnerable. Step into a God confidence today, and know that He is walking with you in the middle of your circumstance.
Prayer
Father God, Remind me that you are near and with me. Walk with me in the deepest moments of anxiety. In Jesus' name, Amen.
