Psalm 91:5

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

Explanation

If "Terror" was read in Hebrew, it would be "Pachad" (פַּחַד). It means to dread, sudden alarm, panic. It's the kind of anxiety that seizes you all of a sudden.

Inspiration

Are you flooded with fear? Does stillness escape you? Terror comes in the most unexpected ways. In God's hands, we do not need to live in terror.

Application for Today

  • Sit with your fear. Do not ignore it, but no that its power will fade. This will pass, and God will guard your mind.

Prayer

Father God, Help me to sit with fear, but not submit to it. You are greater. May fear lose its power. In Jesus' name, Amen.
