Isaiah 54:14

In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.

Explanation

The word for "Far" in Hebrew is "Rachaq" (רָחַק). It means to be physically or completely removed at a great distance.

Inspiration

Sick of oppression? Hate a tyrant? God is against them too! You are called to stand firm and choose righteousness, even under oppression.

Application for Today

How might loving Jesus and obeying God help you stand firm under oppression? God wants to establish righteousness in your life, above people.

Prayer

Father, help me to follow you before others. Help me to live righteously, obeying your will and not the will of oppressors. In Jesus' name, Amen.
