Romans 8:15

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”

Explanation

In the context of not falling into religious legalism, Romans 8:15 reminds us that we are free, adopted and confident to be children of God. We have a Spirit, or attitude and position as sons (and daughters). Anything less is like being held prisoner.
