John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Explanation

Love in action. God loving the world, caused the action of him sending his son, creating an opportunity for humanity to respond with belief. This is belief, through the act of love in the most radical way.

Inspiration

God gave, so that we might believe, and in our belief, that we would not perish. It's too simplistic to say that our belief saves us. Yet, it expresses the fullness of giving ourselves to God in trust and belief of what he has achieved for us in sending Jesus.

Lord, Help me to trust you and to walk fully in sure belief of your great love. You who rescues me from perishing, may I trust in you today.Amen.
