but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."
Explanation
To be "At ease", in Hebrew is "Sha'anan" (שַׁאֲנָן). It can also be understood as tranquil, secure, at rest, free from care. It's a feeling of complete serenity with no concern or regard.
Inspiration
Is the weight of fear heavy? Are you pressed by problems? Listening to the wisdom of the Bible can bring us clarity and safety.
Application for Today
- Read the scripture again slowly. Let wisdom rule over your problems. Ask the Lord to grant you godly wisdom as you begin the day.
Prayer
Father God, I thank you that you bring wisdom and guidance. Nudge me with your divine council today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
