Romans 8:31

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Explanation

The word "Against" in the Greek is "Kata" (κατά). It means to come down upon, in hostile opposition to. Knowing God is for us means we can have confidence not being overwhelmed by opposition.

Inspiration

Are you up against it? Do you feel under fire? There are times where we are under attack, but if our hearts are righteous, God will guard us.

Application for Today

Check your heart and make sure you are not becoming bitter or cynical. Invite The Lord to guard your heart and mind as you come into conflict.

Prayer

Father God, you go before me and protect me. Help me to follow you, love well and be resilient to opposition. In Jesus' name, Amen.
