He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

Explanation

These words are written in the love writings of Solomon and a about his beloved. She sits under his banner of love and the picture is one of care and comfort. She is fed, loved, cared for.

Inspiration

How much more might God's love cover us? Is his banner over us not love? Does he not plan good things for the children he loves?

Application for Today

What would it mean to walk with a confidence that speaks to the affirming love of God over your life? Carry the banner of God's love and allow it to lift you and uphold you as you walk through this day underpinned by our loving Heavenly Father.

Prayer

Father God,I thank you that you love me. I am under you covering of love and it is deep, affirming and life-giving. Help me to walk in the confidence of your loving affirmation today.In Jesus' name, Amen.
