The Unshakeable Position
Psalm 16:8 (NIV)
I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Meaning
To be "Shaken" in Hebrew is "Mot" (מוֹט). It can also mean totter, slip, or be violently overthrown. It's not a gently nudge, but the idea that someone or something is trying to derail you.
Reflection
Do you feel shaken? What is stealing your peace today? There are many things that try to shake us, but when we fix our eyes on the Lord, we can stay fixed and secure in Him.
Application
- Name what is shaking you today and invite the Holy Spirit to speak louder. Don't ignore your situation but fix your eyes on The Lord.
Prayer
Father God, you are bigger than my problem. Walk with me and help me not be shaken. In Jesus' name, Amen.
